Although it is still hot as heck, 2013 Spartan Football season is in our midst!
Our 2013 8th grade Spartans have been working hard at
getting themselves ready for some football. Coach Muhammad and the 8th
grade coaches have our Spartans going through the drills. Our Spartans are
looking very good. We have a good deal of new players as well as the more
senior players from last year. Their true Spartan metal will be shown on the
field.
We look forward to the first real hitting during next week’s
scrimmages against the Cardiff JH (Colts)/McDonald JH (Panthers) Teams.
The time of the scrimmage appears to be in flux but I
believe they start at 3:30 on our own SSLJH Competition field.
Remember the rules Spartans live by:
Give your Spartans teammates all you have!
Give your opponent nothing!
But take from them everything!
No retreat, no surrender!
Come back with your shield, or on it!
