SLJH 8th Grade B Team Spartans defeat the CRJH Coyotes (Tue, Sep 17, 2013)

The SLJH 8^th grade B team kept up with the other Spartan teams by beating the CRJH Coyotes. All three 7^th and 8^th grade Spartan teams swept their CR Coyote opponents.

The 8^th grade B team Spartans looked eager to take on the CR Coyotes. The Spartans offense looked poised and were able to move the ball quite well. The defense was very aggressive and had numerous tackles in the Coyote back field frustrating the coyotes throughout the game.

Although the Spartans B Team defense was new, eager and over committing, they were, never-the-less, relentless. It appeared that the CR Coyotes were prepared as a team but they were not prepared for the constant ferocious attacks by the Spartans.

The fact that this was the Spartans first game showed with too many scattered formations and unfocused assignments. However, the sheer Spartan determination got them to victory.

The SLJH Spartan coaches will take on the long held practice of never avoiding to address weaknesses even in victory.

The Spartans tradition continues to grow with victories like these.
